Conclusions for children: Actuality of Race

It is not uncommon for children to be concerned about their race, especially if they are a minority, but communicating the complexity of the situation can make confronting the issue difficult. Parents should bring up race as nothing more than a fabrication or an idea, opposed to it coming with a set of things, e.g., Latin American women as feisty.
As to how to beget: tell them how race is affected by the world around us. People deem certain ideas about race appropriate. Salzinger notes how third world woman are known as the standard for cheap labour in the globalizing world. Presenting an argument on race is better than presenting none. They will keep these ideas in mind and have a reference.
Biologists agree that race is not a good category to understand human diversity (Wade 177). A more accurate attribution of identity would be your experiences along with your geographic locale.
Miseducation can create bad approaches to dating. Dating as the process of engaging a person for specifically for romantic interest. Cofer recounts being approached with a rendition of a popular song “Maria” from West Side Story and did not like this experience because she saw it as stereotyping (Cofer 203). This is a lazy approach to dating. Children should grow up to be acculturated adults.
There need not be specific pedagogical approaches but sufficient education. Having an educated perspective on race can only sophisticate the adult in navigating the world around them.
